Please do your best to pre-register via the link below. The program is very easy to follow and will make entry day much easier for exhibitors and staff. We appreciate your adaptability to the new software!

Key dates
  • Entries for all divisions will be accepted on Tuesday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  You must be IN LINE by 6:00PM.  
  • All livestock entries must be in place by 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 18, 2024.  NO exceptions.
  • All open class exhibits and premiums will be released on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 5 p.m. If you remove your project prior to 5 p.m. and without the Open Class Director present, you will forfeit your premium. If you do not pick up your premium check on Sunday, you will forfeit your premium. 
  • The open class building will close at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. At this time, only fair staff will be allowed inside. Exhibitors must wait outside until staff can accompany you to collect your projects. If you remove your projects prior to 5 p.m. or without staff assistance, you may forfeit your premium. 
Pre-registration 
  • Pre-registration of exhibits is available and very appreciated. We strongly encourage advanced registration. This can be done with the online entry form, ShoWorks. Advanced registration is especially important to allow time to create your exhibit cards. If you do not pre-register, you risk a one-hour wait time bringing in your projects. If you need assistance, please contact me. If you need to complete a manual entry form, please send the entry through email or mail.

In-person registration
  • If you do not pre-enter, bring your item(s) to the fair on entry day, Tuesday, July 16. Here are a few tips to speed up the entry process:
  • Review the premium book and be prepared with the Department, Division and Class Numbers for each item that you are entering. If not, we will ask you to step out of line with a premium book and entry form to a side table to complete your entries, allowing us time to assist other exhibitors.
Departments, Divisions and Classes
  • You may continue to enter two entries into all classes, except Junior and Senior.
  • NEW THIS YEAR: ONLY ONE ENTRY CAN BE ENTERED INTO THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR CLASS DUE TO THE SMALLER NUMBER OF ENTRIES. 
  • There will not be separate divisions for each age division. Instead, there will be a specific Senior (65+) or Junior (Under 18) class at the conclusion of each division. While we understand this will be an adjustment for many, this will increase the competitiveness of our building and mirror divisions of neighboring county fairs. Seniors and Juniors may enter two entries in each class, as well as, one entry in their respective age class.

  • Junior Claire can enter her (3) Blueberry Jams - 2 in the Blueberry class and 1 in the Junior class
  • We are offering 5 Sweepstakes Classes with increased premiums: Blue $8.00, Red $5.00, White $3.00

    • Northern Lights Photo - Division 5 Photography
    • County Fair Photo - Division 6 Photography 
    • Decorated Cupcakes - Division 14 Baked Goods
    • Decorated Cookies - Division 15 Baked Goods
Awards
  • Open class competitive exhibits at the Chisago County Fair are judged according to the American awards system. Items in a lot are judged against each other and every lot may receive only one blue (1st), one red (2nd) and one white (3rd). 
  • Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded in each division. ​ 
  • Judges have the final say for all awards presented.
  • Ribbons are returning for premium winners.

Beef, dairy, sheep and poultry exhibits can be pre-registered.
We are not able to offer goats, rabbits, or swine in open class for this year due to space limitations. 
NO FRAMES - There are no size requirements for pictures. Please mat or mount the photography, but no glass. Here is a link to a recommendation for a frame, but card-stock is acceptable as well: FRAME ON AMAZON
